Still trying to figure out what to make with your leftovers? Have you recovered from Black Friday shopping? Well if you have, now it’s time to wish you a Happy Cyber Monday!

That’s right, the holiday savings events started Thursday night or Friday morning with Black Friday. Hopefully some of you took part in Small Business Saturday and shopped for locally-made gifts from mom and pop shops in your neighborhood. But for those of you who haven’t gotten your holiday gifting fix, then get ready for Cyber Monday.

According to the National Retail Federation, more than 121 million shoppers took part in the event last year. So many retailers participate, everything from department stores to hotel chains offer discounts on this online shopping day.

Last week, I shared with you ways to save money this holiday season. Well, Cyber Monday is another way to do just that. Here are some interesting facts about this shopping holiday:

  • This is the busiest day of the year for online spending.
  • Experts say consumers are expected to spend $3.5 billion this year, that’s up nearly half a million dollars from last year.
  • Although Black Friday and Cyber Monday are promoted as a time to get super holiday savings, you may be able to find the same items on sale up until Christmas and even after the holiday.

So be on the lookout for deals that will save you and your company money. In the meantime, Happy Cyber Monday and Happy Shopping!
