I’ve always loved coming to work! I’ve even been told that Brigade Bookkeeping is a great place to work. Well now, it’s official, we are one of the top small companies to work for in the state of Florida, and we have an award to prove it! Just this week Florida Trend Magazine named Brigade Bookkeeping among the Top 10 Small Companies to work for in Florida.

Previously we gave you a list of must do tasks your bookkeeper or accountant should be taking care of either once a week or every day. Things like checking your cash flow, recording transactions, invoicing and paying bills can’t wait to be taken care of monthly or quarterly, they have to be done on a much more regular basis.

Is Crowdfunding In Your Future?

My parents taught taught me two very important lessons: 1) to work hard for what I earn and 2) to share. I have passed on these values to my daughter, Katelyn. But today’s new generation of young people are taking an interesting twist on these values and collaborative thinking, with the use of crowdfunding. As a bookkeeper and certified public accountant, a lot of my clients asking me what I think about this concept.
